I-H2 L.t.d.

A H2ope for the future

The Opportunity

A NewCo that has developed a process innovation in comparison to hydrogen production, with significant economic advantages in terms of operational costs, investment costs, and environmental impact. The potential target market is, in fact, the hydrogen market, mainly consisting of fossil-based hydrogen.

Although hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe, it is difficult to extract, and therefore crucial to achieve decarbonization goals.

THANKS TO ITS TECHNOLOGY PRODUCING TURQUOISE HYDROGEN, I-H2 REPRESENTS A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY

The pyrolysis process for hydrogen production occurs by emitting natural gas (methane, propane, butane, or LPG) into a specific furnace designed and built by Elsafra II with the participation of the Politecnico di Milano. This system is processed using metal alloys, whose electrical combinations reduces significantly the energy required to obtain hydrogen and graphite. Without contact with oxygen, CO2 is not emitted when hydrogen atoms are separated from natural gas. This process produces a flow of pure hydrogen and, through the preventive carbon sequestration, it is release in a solid form instead of expanding into the air as CO2.

In addition to producing hydrogen through the decomposition of methane gas and not through the common pyrolysis processes, our technology produces H2O as water vapour which is released into the atmosphere. It also prduces crystalline graphite of the highest quality for its specific molecular nanostructure, formed by fullerene and carbon nanotubes.

  1. Most of the graphite is produced «extracted from mines" in China, which supplies most of the world's countries.

  2. We would be the only independent producers to produce graphite of this quality.

  3. The possibility of using different types of gas implies less difficulty in obtaining the necessary raw material for production.

BUSINESS CASE & STATE OF THE ART

The NewCo will have a very lightweight structure, and will base its business model on transferring patent exploitation rights to hydrogen production companies.

The NewCo has successfully completed the laboratory prototyping and production phase through the first small-scale plant, confirming the effectiveness of the process with positive results.

The next step is the construction of the first industrial plant for the production.
